UGG has joint forces with Feng Chen Wang, a London-based designer, who has previously worked with Converse to deconstruct classic UGG styles. These have resulted in a range of quirky and versatile versions of the classic boots as well as sandals  for both summer and winter weather.

“Even though I had worked on footwear before, this is a new and radically different collaboration which I loved working on,” Wang said about her collaboration with UGG. “The clash of cultures, background and origins of both brands is exactly what makes this partnership interesting and meaningful.”

The exact details on the collection’s finalized styles remain a secret but Wang’s design philosophy is to develop season-less footwear so that her designs can be worn with ease all year round. “No matter how unbearable winter feels, there’s always within me an invincible summer”, said Wang. It is also pertinent to point out that the collection will as a result discourage over consumption which may be guided by sustainability goals.

The Feng Chen Wang x UGG collection will release sometime during Spring/Summer 2021.
